I’m not a natural flag waver. But having been to more than five proms this year we got into the ballot for the Last Night. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
But slightly odd. Musically least satisfactory Prom I’ve been to this season and hard to tell how ironically people took it

A real pleasure to be at the launch of the #LightbulbMoments exhibition at the University of Liverpool's Victoria Gallery and Museum. An excellent exhibition in a fabulously refurbished space

Our first Prom of the season. A late-nighter celebrating Arvo Pärt’s 90th birthday. Fabulous singing from the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir

I’ve been lucky enough to visit Florence a few times and there are copies of David all over the place. (And there’s a cast in the V&A)
But I wasn’t prepared at how overwhelming I found seeing the original.

Since I was last at Trinity in 2019 (for the LIBER conf) they have taken the books out of the Long Room, added some brilliant women and the whole world, and build an immersive Book of Kells experience. They’ve been busy!
