With thousands of our neighbors still struggling from frozen SNAP benefits, our Providence community continues to step up!

Starting today and every Friday in November, our friends at Dominican Street Bites and Sin-Cere Multiservice will be offering FREE meals to our neighbors on SNAP!

Congratulations to NYC and @ZohranKMamdani for making history! Zohran built a movement by knocking on millions of doors to share his vision of a city government that puts workers first.

We can do the same in Providence! Click the link in the replies! Together we can deliver a Providence for All.

Today is Tuesday, November 4th & thousands are still facing frozen SNAP Benefits. Here is an overview of food pantries in PVD:

9am: St. Thomas Church, the Olneyville Food Center, Federal Hill House, & the Silver Lake Community Center

10am: St. Anthony Mission Church

4pm to 6pm: St. Patrick Church

This weekend, our team did more than talk about our vision of building a Providence for all.

While knocking on hundreds of doors, our volunteers handed out information of local food pantries helping to feed and care for our neighbors in need! 🫶🏾

Tonight, the State Properties Commission approved a 10-year lease agreement for 101 Friendship Street, a building where hundreds of frontline DCYF staff members work.

Despite the health and safety concerns shared by workers, the agreement was finalized 👎🏽

All across Rhode Island, over 30,000 of our neighbors came together to show Donald Trump and ICE that we are going to stand together, protect each other, and stop authoritarianism.

Today, over 30,000 Rhode Islanders came together to stand up to fascism and defend our immigrant neighbors!

This Saturday (1pm) in front of the State House, I’m excited to join community leaders and advocates as we send a clear message: there are no kings in America!

Join us in Providence for what will be a nationwide movement as we stand up to fascism and the terrors of ICE ❌👑❌🧊

Providence already has the power to build affordable housing, we just need to use it! Here’s the story of the Providence Redevelopment Agency.

Tell us in the replies: what’s a vacant area in your community that you’d like to see transformed?

This afternoon, I joined our students at PCTA and the Bridge Academy for a Hispanic Heritage Month Panel, alongside community leaders like Delia Rodriguez, Chief Oscar Perez, Soldenia Salas, and former Mayor Angel Taveras ✨

Moments like these remind us about the power of representation!

Big shoutout to DJ Franchise for having me on the ‘Franchise Report’ as we spoke about our vision of a Providence for All!

Here’s a clip from our discussion on RIPTA, a public service that deserves meaningful investments from our capital city 🚍

Yesterday, we asked you to make a statement. Over 400 of you responded by contributing an average of $32 each!

Our campaign isn’t taking corporate cash, it’s powered by the support of working people! If everyone watching this video gives just $5 — we would surpass our goals and show the strength of our people powered movement.

It look less than 24 hours for Brett Smiley’s “new” executive order to fall flat.

Last week, masked ICE agents arrested two of our neighbors.

Since then, Smiley has been silent. Providence needs a mayor who will take action, not performative press conferences.
September 29, 2025 at 2:07 PM
And the energy continues! Our grassroots campaign is powered by us, the working people of Providence ✊🏾

Thank you to all of our volunteers who joined us as we connected with hundreds of neighbors across Fox Point this morning 🫶🏾

From the wrestling ring to the halls of government, I’m always ready to fight for our neighbors!

After 4 years as a professional wrestler, I’m stepping away for now to focus on my next fight: running for Mayor to deliver a Providence for all (no headlocks or chops needed).

September 23, 2025 at 2:36 PM
Ayer, Brett Smiley firmó una orden ejecutiva con cuatro meses de retraso que hace poco para proteger a nuestros vecinos de las redadas migratorias de Trump.
September 23, 2025 at 2:36 PM
During the signing, Smiley lied to the press and to people of Providence by saying that the Providence Police “will not and do not” collaborate with ICE. This comes after his police were caught illegally assisting ICE in July.
September 23, 2025 at 2:36 PM
Yesterday, Brett Smiley signed a four-month-late executive order that does nothing to protect our neighbors from Trump’s immigration raids. 🧵
September 23, 2025 at 2:36 PM
I’m grateful to the community organizations that have been on the frontlines for the last several months protecting our immigrant neighbors from ICE. AMOR, PSL, and ONA have been defending our immigrant community through the Deportation Defense Line [401-675-1414].
