This handsome fellow decided rather emphatically that he did NOT want his nails trimmed today for #caturday. (I'll spare you the details, but let's just say his expressions of displeasure resulted in a veritable survey course worth of basic first aid techniques.)

This handsome fella celebrated #caturday by successfully chasing a mouse into a no-kill trap for liberation in the back yard. (And when I say "celebrated," I mean, "looked on in bemusement as his prize was carried away to a realm outside of his control.")

This jar contains 300 pebbles, one for each of the first 300 cases I've worked on as a Trevor Project volunteer. The work is heavy, but the team I work with is strong, and I celebrate the good we do, even as I look forward to a time when our society has made the work unnecessary. Onward to jar #2.

It's a strange feeling to see your own name on an official county ballot. (Democratic friends in South Middleton 2, I'd love to have your support in this primary, even running unopposed!)

If there is a way to successfully integrate these two items without feeling vaguely sticky for the rest of the day, I have not yet found it.
