Agree very much. Before the congestion charge living in London meant terminal gridlock and breathing air that left you with airways full of black muck (and goodness knows what else you would inhale).

Prominent folks:

Millions stay on Twitter because that's where they hear from you. That includes reporters.

YOU are giving Twitter viability and credibility.

If YOU leave, the people who want to hear from you will go where you are.

YOU are making the choice to keep others on Twitter.

Despite numerous other countries (e.g., Finland, Norway, France) condemning or raising serious objections against the move, the Canadian 🇨🇦 government has been completely silent.

As @markkersten.bsky.social says, we helped build the ICC; our silence is helping to destroy it
bsky.app/profile/mark...
Canada has repeatedly declined to show support for the #ICC as it comes under mounting attack from the US.

It’s now a pattern, not an aberration, & continues even as Canadian citizens are sanctioned.

We helped build the ICC. Our silence is helping to destroy it. @anitaoakvilleeast.bsky.social
We didn’t join other states expressing support for vital work of the ICC & now we are silent as Trump sanctions a Canadian judge on the court. @mark-carney.bsky.social @anitaoakvilleeast.bsky.social is this piteous DT appeasement or has Canada given up on international justice when we need it most?

when the EU is interested.

In any case, it is a different thing to ask, should Canada apply for membership in or seek closer relations with the EU. The act of applying or expressly pursuing have their own implications and ramifications separate from membership etc.
