I hope none of these Trump advisors are working with numbers in engineering, like a rocket ship carrying astronauts or cars . . .
This is incredible. The "reciprocal tariffs" were calculated without actually looking at anything to do with tariffs.

This is the most amateur-hour crap you can imagine and it's going to straight tank the global economy.
james surowiecki has discovered where the completely fabricated trump tariff rate has come from for each country

"...for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us."

Happy to report I was one of those 594,233 GM sales, 3rd EV. While not as efficient as #1 and #2, it nonetheless saves a lot in fuel costs vs. an ICE pickup to haul stuff + range covers my whole large state with limited public chargers in the north and Downeast.

Devasting for the low-income LIHEAP recipients in Maine and New Hampshire + most of the Northeast and northern Midwest.
LIHEAP?! This is unbelievably cruel and shortsighted. Families across the country are still grappling with the impact of inflation on their utility costs and Covid-era challenges, and taking away this assistance is going to put so many more at risk of disconnection.

1/🧵 Judges across ideological lines are ruling against Trump at strikingly similar rates (84% liberal, 86% centrist, 82% conservative). This isn't partisan opposition to Trump—it's the judiciary functioning as intended by cutting across partisan lines to uphold the Constitution.

Interesting to compare to the approaches taken by my alma mater, with its $500K/student endowment, and by our public land-grant university, with our $30K/student endowment.

I've seen a child with tetanus, I've treated near fatal infections after chicken pox, and I've pronounced children dead from COVID whose parents refused to have them vaccinated.

We have lost our minds... and are about to lose so many of our precious children.
