In the latest news about the insane human race, coal use reached an all-time high in 2024 (The Guardian), while demand for gas turbines is increasing (The FT). Why? Fossil fuels are needed to power data centres for #AI.

Yesterday, The Guardian published an article on Kyle Robinson which quoted a high school contemporary as saying he’d expressed leftist views. Today, her quote has been removed because she didn’t really remember Robinson. But how many people go back to read yesterday’s stories?
