Cyclists may be right to run stop signs and red lights. Here’s why
Should cyclists be allowed to treat stop signs as yield signs? This rule from Idaho is divisive, but the scientific data is surprising.

The carbon market is not the way to do CO₂ removal (CDR). If we're serious about this, it has to be a government-led effort.

‘There is no money’: As carbon markets collapse, what happens to the forests they promised to protect?
After it was found most offsets did not represent real carbon reductions, the money dried up. But successful schemes such as Kasigau in Kenya now face a stark futureSolomon Morris Makau checks the fallen tree for snakes before he wraps a tape...

Climate intervention may not be enough to save coffee, chocolate and wine, new study finds - IOP Publishing
A new study published in Environmental Research Letters reveals that even advanced climate intervention strategies may not be enough to secure the future of wine grapes, coffee and cacao. These crops are vital to many economies and provide livelihoods for farmers worldwide. However, they are increasingly vulnerable to the effects of climate change. Rising temperatures […]

30+ years ago, my mind was blown when my computer science professor suggested that one day, applications on our computers would be updated by contacting a remote server.
I don’t think he ever imagined that companies would also be able to disable applications we’ve already paid for and installed.
