You have to be joking ...
God no - imagine having to touch his stuff! He can pack for himself, and we can fumigate the property when he's gone.

Three members of the public, who used to vote Tory, have shifted their allegiance to Reform - total non-news story.

Once I have decided what I'm having for supper, I'll be sure to let the media know ...

Not your fault! 😊

Sadly, he/she would make me sneeze and wheeze in no time at all!

The starting point of this phenomenon seems to be the subject of much debate - if it really is today, then I can reset, having been caught out in a Viennese Christmas Market about ten days ago ...

Bit like Jack the Ripper shopping some kid for stealing a sticky bun from the baker's shop ...

Try getting him to spell MRI - that would be a start ...

We have never counted the books, but have shelves in every room, sometimes on two walls, and sometimes two books deep.

I do have 1,500 vinyl albums, 4,000 singles, and several hundred CDs, though ... 😕

I hope so, or we are in big trouble!

I have to say that, whilst admiring the general tidiness and lack of clutter, I am slightly suspicious of people who have no visible reading material in their houses ...

Ignorance as in lack of research, as opposed to stupidity, was the big issue that Leave capitalised on, and exacerbated with lies and misinformation, but Remain was also complacent, believing that what was obvious would prevail.

The Leave ringleaders are the ones to hold to account.

Yes - "right" as in "correct" in this context, of course ... 😊

Someone must have paid him to wear that shirt, and I speak as someone not averse to a bit of sartorial adventure ...
November 28, 2025 at 7:02 PM
You wasted some typing effort there - any question that begins with "Is Farage right ..." will always be answered in the negative no matter what follows.

You would really be struggling to find ways in which she could be more of an idiot than she was the day before, yet her creativity appears boundless ...

It's a genuine achievement.

I think most of them are going to be pretty familiar with teeny tiny things ...
November 27, 2025 at 6:56 PM
I know what you mean, but I think he's OK on that one, with the noun/adjective thing - "pessimism" is definitely about a dismal view of potential future outcomes, but I think you can still take a "pessimistic" view of past events.

One would probably more usually say "a negative view", though ...

Not sure that they are either worried or indeed much affected by a lack of brain ...

We don't get too many of these guys, although they swing by noisily on occasion!

However, we get a regular tapping on the kitchen window from bluetits who come and sit on the sill, presumably knocking either to thank us for the suet/fat balls, or to demand a refill!

So, if you have a £2m house, then you are probably in the top 5% in terms of wealth, so can't really complain.

Regional housing costs are kind of irrelevant, as you live where you can afford so, yes, Richmond is pricey, but you choose 5 beds there, or 10 beds up north somewhere!
