The Trump "compact" would require colleges that agree to commit to freezing tuition for 5 years. Freezes or caps are often proposed as a solution to college affordability.

🧵 Why is this a misguided solution that might actually lead to lower- and middle-income students and families paying *more*?

When will @TheJusticeDept reindict @realDonaldTrump for keeping classified documents in his home, and hiding it, just as they are now prosecuting @AmbJohnBolton for?

Media outlets said no to Hegseth's anti-freedom, anti-truth policy.
Universities are saying no to Trump's anti-freedom, anti-truth "compact."
Solidarity is the only way to weaken the Trump attacks on freedom, truth, justice, and democracy.

Hmm. What's up with the added comma? That's not in the law. Are they making integrity an afterthought? Is this the first step toward droping integrity completely? This is very concerning.

We need good defense for sure right now. But we also need a movement, a strategy, and a strong slogan/logo that makes us visible and says we won’t accept the fascist destruction of America.

Who would tell Donald to trash the US government, trash the US economy, trash our allies, trash Ukraine?

Of course there will be no winning with this crowd. If Waltz went, it wouldn't be Jon Huntsman as national security adviser.
It would be an idiot like Gorka.

Last night I posted on Republic Report, "Chief Justice John Roberts must show leadership, speaking out in support of attacked judges...."
OK.
US democracy still has a chance against the fascists.

Without law, we have a king. And in this case we have a vengeful, corrupt, bigoted king with no respect for our country’s values or its people.
We can't let this happen.

We're at the point of authoritarianism NOW.
Trump admin ignored orders of the Chief Judge, District Court for DC, re deportations; Justice Dept today refused to answer the judge's questions; White House and DoJ are attacking him.
Without law, we have a king. And a stupid one.

The point of MAGA, other than blatant corruption, is cruelty.

Every few years a lot of US voters say they want to burn it all down.
Now they've done it.
They've handed the country to con men, oligarchs, white supremacists, nutty ideologues, conspiracy theorists, and actual rapists -- led by an all-of-the-above.
Congrats America.

Putin waged a war of aggression on Ukraine, but, to borrow he phrase, he had no cards. He couldn't beat tiny Ukraine, he was relying on mercenaries and North Koreans, sending them all to slaughter. The world was against him. His country was weak.
You fucking MAGA morons.
