Having lived in Australia for 60 years where fire events are reasonably frequent, I can verify that fires will pass through and leave random buildings and trees untouched and incinerate everything else. Such is nature!

going through airport security in Melbourne, the guy behind me sent a motorcycle helmet through the scanner. As I’m repacking my laptop there’s a few concerned looks and the security guard reaches into the helmet and pulls out 2 cordless drills. He was told to check it but he had no checked bags! 🤔
