<Something Here>
I recall watching this episode when it first aired in the UK, a truly remarkable recital by the incredible Dame Judi Dench. The contrast is stark compared to the average grasp of language these days. It has been distilled down to unimaginative and lazy soundbites.

.. but so what. If this weeks AAA game isn’t for me, oh well, another will be here next week - whatever it’s called, developed by whoever it is. I bought Ghost of Yōtei last week, I’m focussed on that experience, that world … no distractions, no “what else could I be playing” .. it’s bliss.

.. details get released from Bungie. Then finally handing over my money to pay for their product. It meant something, it was my commitment into that product. Gamepass, and other services, don’t require that and I believe it ruins the whole experience. Sure, we have access to all the games ..

Regarding gamepass etc - I bailed from Gamepass a while ago because I realised it caused the effect of ruining the enjoyment of gaming (for me). I used to adore that sense of investment in something I cared about, take Halo 3 for example. Waiting for months and months, listening to all the small ..

My blood pressure spiked alarmingly watching this.

Obviously it can’t actually watch the YouTube video, so it completely guesses at the content and makes things up.

It’s painful to read all the anger, disappointment, and fear from you Jeff, and the other Americans I follow on here. There is nothing I can say to improve the situation - the world has seemingly gone to shit since 2016. It started for us with Brexit 😩. We just have to hang in there.

Completely agree! Today I recorded my session for an upcoming tech summit that was titled “Inside Out: Understanding yourself in a world of Artificial Intelligence.” - it was a self-reflective session for the audience to learn about emotional intelligence. And yes, Inside Out characters were used.

Less of a mechanic, more of a gameplay design … but it’s bright colourful ledges to indicate your path. On the one hand I totally understand why it needs to be this way, on the other it distracts from the immersion and exploration.

I know (sadly).

The challenge here is what to actually do about it as a consumer. Not buying games only hurts the developers, buying games doesn’t change the mentality of the company regarding layoffs. This image comes to mind more often than not these days 😢.

It looks a billion dollars.

Gaming has always been a hobby for me, something I’ve loved spending my time and money on. Sadly, I now treat the industry like a transaction because I’m that to them. It’s always been about making money, but it all feels soulless now, which is hard to emotionally connect to & invest in.

I appreciate with politics we all need to take a stand … but I’m also reminded of this … www.storyofsouls.com/dont-argue-w...
