Populism is a great thing. But calling MAGA “populist” is bullshit. Like most self-identified right-wing populists, it is simply fake populism that has no agenda for working people of any background. Calling it fake populism and offering a real alternative would be a great strategy going forward.

It's almost like Democrats in power have been warned for *years* by a large coalition of activists that punitive and surveillance infrastructure will be used against vulnerable people and they just ignored it--for security theater at best, and active or quiet agreement with republicans at worst.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.
This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.
Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.
And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).
