The Democratic Party vowed to fight corrupt elites, yet no one challenges those who treat the party—and the U.S.—as their inheritance. Their presence alone can derail any campaign. Obama owes his second term to Biden’s strategy and leadership, yet they betrayed him. History will judge them harshly.

For years, the Democratic Party has campaigned on the promise of fighting corrupt elites. So why does no one confront these two individuals who treat the Democratic Party—and perhaps the United States—as their family inheritance? They alone are enough to derail any campaign. Obama seems to have forgotten that without President Biden, he would have never made it to the race against Romney, and his second-term victory is entirely owed to Biden’s foresight, political acumen, and strategic maneuvering. They drove the knife into the old man’s chest. History will hold you accountable, even if you’re not alive to face it.

My fear is that after Trump passes away, we’ll want to drag him out of his coffin and question him for exploiting our weaknesses. If I were him, I’d do the same ruthlessly! Yes, he’s not good, but where does the real problem lie? Trump won with 300 Republicans endorsing Harris! Even Dick Cheney!

Trump’s Push to End Birthright Citizenship:A Legal Fantasy

Trump’s push to revoke birthright citizenship sounds bold but is legally impossible.Changing the U.S. Constitution requires Congress approval and state ratification.Even with executive orders,these changes face significant legal challenges.

Part 1: Changes in Trump’s Immigration Policies and Travel Bans: Populism and Deception in Immigration Politics

President-elect Trump’s efforts to make changes in immigration policies and enforce travel bans have been one of the hottest topics in U.S. politics in recent years. Relying on his campaign promises, especially regarding the repeal of birthright citizenship and migration restrictions, Trump has managed to convince some of his supporter base. These decisions, seemingly made to appease public opinion and certain segments of society, are, in fact, largely designed to exploit populist sentiments and deceive the public to strengthen his political position.

Trump frequently emphasizes the necessity of changing immigration policies and enforcing travel bans (immigration restrictions) against certain countries, claiming that these decisions are for the security and well-being of the American people. However, behind this claim lies Trump’s political agenda. These changes, particularly the repeal of birthright citizenship, which is impossible to implement through executive orders without constitutional amendments, are used as a tool to gain the support of specific voter bases. While the enforcement of travel bans may have been somewhat successful at times, family members with first-degree relatives easily entered the U.S. through exemptions. In 2025, Trump will face much stronger challenges, and federal courts and judges will resist more, requiring Trump to grant even broader exemptions.

Trump has acted in a way that seems to show he’s making extensive changes, even though most of these changes, especially in immigration, face serious legal challenges and will not be implemented quickly or in full.

Part 2: Why Can’t Trump Change the Law with Executive Orders?

One of the major problems Trump faces is that the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees birthright citizenship for those born in the United States. Changes in this area can only be made through official amendments to the Constitution. These amendments and immigration law changes cannot be executed via presidential executive orders. To change the U.S. Constitution, a very complex and precise process exists that requires steps that are far from simple to implement. These changes must be made through official amendments, which require specific conditions and procedures to be followed.
1. Two-thirds of representatives in both the Senate and the House of Representatives must support the proposed changes. This means a decisive majority in both chambers must agree to the changes.
2. Three-fourths of states (about 38 states) must approve the amendments. This means there must be widespread support for these changes at the state level.
3. The signatures of governors from at least 35 to 37 states are required for the amendments to be accepted.

This process is so difficult that it makes accomplishing it practically impossible.

Part 3: Historically, it’s worth noting that changes to the U.S. Constitution not only involve a complicated process but also have had limited success in history. Since the U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1787, more than 11,000 proposals for changes to the Constitution have been submitted through various processes. However, only 27 amendments from these proposals have been approved and become law.

This highlights the difficulty and complexity of the process of changing the Constitution. Of these 27 amendments, many were passed during different periods of U.S. history, including amendments targeting individual rights, civil liberties, and social reforms. But the key point is that only 27 amendments have succeeded out of over 11,000 proposals, and they have passed through a lengthy and challenging legislative process.

Why Can’t Executive Orders Bring About Fundamental Changes?

Executive orders can direct the implementation of executive policies, but fundamental changes to the Constitution and major changes in immigration policy, such as repealing birthright citizenship or making significant modifications to travel bans, cannot be achieved through executive orders. These changes would be swiftly overturned by federal judges because most judges, regardless of their political leanings, adhere to the principles of the law and the amendments of the Constitution.

Political and Legal Challenges

Before any widespread changes to immigration policies can be made, the President must receive legal and political approval from both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Even if Trump attempts to push forward orders like travel bans, these orders require broad agreement through legal and executive support, which is very unlikely.

Ultimately, while Trump has increased his popularity through his statements and promises for reforms in immigration policies and travel bans, achieving these promises through executive orders is not feasible, and they will need to be reviewed
