Former Seattleite (40 years) and now a Taiwan expat (39 years). I also spend about 3 Months a year in France and and almost as much time in Japan. Importer of wine from France and Italy. Interested in all things old.
OK, here's Bourré, one of the small villages in the Montricard Commune. The Cher river, a weir and locks and the Troglodyte caves above the river. Our troglodyte cave is about 2 Km downstream.

@drsalspong.bsky.social Here is the first door. Actually it is a 15th century building in Vieux Tours that is a restaurant with a steel door, wonderful wood carvings, and an area inside for boules.

Taiwan is a wonderful country. We get pink cherry blossoms twice a year (spring and fall). Actually the fall blossoms don't come from a cherry tree but they are just as nice to look at.

@taiwanomaly.bsky.social Since Mr. Yang limits who can respond to his posts and I saw the repost you did on his #Taiwan textures, I thought I would add a couple more. These from Qing Dynasty buildings. An interior wall and an exterior wall.

Not teeny tiny but definitely small. My 150 cm tall wife in front of a door in France (not a church). She's one small step below the threshold.

Don't have my own picture(s) but the Cherry blossoms are out in full force in Taiwan just in time for the New Year of the snake. From Powen Shiah on Mastodon.
