@drsalspong.bsky.social Here is the first door. Actually it is a 15th century building in Vieux Tours that is a restaurant with a steel door, wonderful wood carvings, and an area inside for boules.

Taiwan is a wonderful country. We get pink cherry blossoms twice a year (spring and fall). Actually the fall blossoms don't come from a cherry tree but they are just as nice to look at.

@cheese-elemental.bsky.social Finally got my schedule completed. I will be arriving in Kawasaki late on Jul.30th and departing for Taipei early on Aug. 12th. Have an full day engagement on Aug. 8th so We can get together anytime between August 1st and August 11th except for Aug. 8th. Pick a date.

Having mostly moved from "The other place" to here in the past couple of weeks I seem to have garnered a number of wine followers. Most of you are probably more knowledgeable then me but I will pass on one truth that I have learned. Watch for and beware of drunken ducks.

Doesn't look that bad in Montrichard. In fact, the weekend looks wonderful. Doesn't do me much good as I am here Taiwan.

Saw this article posted over in Mastodon by Alex Bardsley. I have had wine from this area. They also produce a small amount of Pinot Noir that is guite nice. Like the Gamay talked about it is light but it does go very will with the food here in Taiwan. www.euronews.com/culture/2024...
