Well, @hcrichardson.bsky.social does refer to Trump as the first Confederate President. But their goals are chaos and distraction. The best thing we can do is not give them what they want - a violent retaliation, because that will open the door to martial law.

All these things happening...I wasn't remotely religious before contact, but between Chris Bledsoe's experience and the things that are happening, it's difficult not to wonder what forces are at play. Still, I try to walk the line between being prepared and focusing on the prospect of a new age.

As an older vet, I am assured knowing that they all probably have a now confirmed accurate assessment of him.

While I don't condone political violence, it was clear Kirk cared more about the right to own deadly weapons than about the lives of those that were claimed by them.
When people finally figure out that simple math, there will be far fewer shootings.

No. He was another bigot. He was a bigot with a smile, like the ones who come to my door and leave quickly when they see the Pride flag. People like the late Charlie Kirk are nothing new. They have nothing novel to add to political discourse.

There are media articles from all over the spectrum normalizing Charlie Kirk. The Right is wagging that dog. Instead of serious and frank conversation, it's become lazy journalism, placating, I'm assuming, for fear our post Weimar Republic will come after them.

If you're angry about the killing of Charlie Kirk, that's a good thing. Now do something about gun control and quit allowing yourself to be led by the nose by politicians who use the 2nd Amendment as your dog whistle.

3. Charlie Kirk was not a nice guy. He talked like one and acted like one. He loved his wife and kids. He also enabled targeting of professors who subscribed to gender ideology. He also sought to attack equal treatment of gays under the law as an attack on American values. He was a hater.

2. The hit was not your usual crazy with a gun who wandered up, but likely a professional, possibly a sniper. Little coverage paid attention to this. It could easily have been a foreign power that did this or some other group as a false flag operation.

Not this liberal. I was about done reading the NYT today. The Right is wagging that dog, and I'm not sure the writers even realize it.

I lost a lot of my original LPs when I was in the army in Germany, and someone stole them from the guy who had our stuff in his basement, so I've just got the cd collection. I've been slowing buying stuff back on vinyl. Last one was Abbey Road box set.

This administration's worldview is a disease upon the world. I just can't wrap my head around how this is happening. That being said, I firmly believe that the disgust from the majority of Americans will make the Trump name forever be damned by the end of his reign.

It just makes me wonder if they are presented that way as a comfort factor, and we may never really know at this stage who's behind the door.
And does it even matter?
