That’s simply wrong. Pensions are taxable. Anyone with a workplace or SIPP pension in addition to the state pension pays tax.

Depends where you are. We sold a terraced house in N10 for £750k in 2012. recent sales in that street have been north of £1.3 million. It may be a very localised phenomenon but clearly has happened in some areas.

Sick of the myth that Arts funding is “lavished on London”. It’s where many of the artists & internationally recognized venues are, because serious artists gravitate to excellence. Yet London venues are consistently underfunded. We’ll kill that excellence if we persist with this nonsense.
