🚲🚶‍♂️ The Raheen Roundabout is a key junction for Limerick’s cycling & walking network.

Planned upgrades are welcome, but there’s room for improvement to better support active travel. Here’s why your voice matters! 🧵👇 #ActiveTravelLimerick

The yellow route for the Wickham St to Clare St scheme from Limerick Council can’t come quick enough.

The current setup is failing business, shoppers, drivers, and those walking or cycling.

Great to see the progress on the R510 active travel project from the NTA and Limerick Council!

We’re almost at the stage where the lanes on both sides are completed from St Nessans NS to the IDA roundabout.

Interesting to see that 4 of the 7 candidates present were also here at the Directly Elected Mayoral debate!

The debate is chaired once again by Pat Leahy.

Hands down this small dropped kerb is my favourite active travel intervention in Limerick!

It’s just past a primary school and the addition of a dropped kerb here transforms safety by bringing cyclists into the housing estate rather than mixing with traffic at the junction.

The new Childers Rd bike lanes are coming along well! A little narrow in this section but a significant safety improvement from what was there previously.
