Just finished restoring a couple of runs of collapsed estate walls. The local style is for them to have brick coping. This gives a pretty finish, but over time the wall relaxes, but the bricks don't.

'Stone of the week'. Top left. Hand dressed quoin in Forest Marble. Sits nicely with plenty of reach to tie back into the old wall. I'm a big fan of this material, it's Cotswold limestone but very hard & durable.
