The Trump Shadow: Could Donald Jr run in 2028 and keep Trump ‘in power’?
While JD Vance remains the front-runner for the Republicans in the next presidential race, recent polling results for the president’s eldest son have led some to start thinking the unthinkable. Alex H...

Thinking about Venezuela compared to Iraq. The big screw up in Iraq was firing all the Iraqi military who had guns, then banning the Ba'ath party who had money. So people with money funded the insurgency against us. Trump's mobsters might understand to pay the right people to avoid a repeat

FLASHBACK—Trump in 2023: When I left, Venezuela was ready to collapse. We would have taken it over, we would have gotten all that oil.

When Donald Trump says
“We should have taken the oil”
and “We’re keeping the oil,”
he’s not joking or bluffing.

That’s conquest-for-resources rhetoric — the same logic empires and dictators use.

This is all to make his oil buddies, especially ExxonMobil, happy.

I just checked out this website costplusdrugs.com and it looks pretty good. Generic drugs with prices much lower. Mail order. Not sure how they do narcotics if you need them.

Good read: some modern Republicans idealize Sparta, but the real Sparta was a closed slave society—no citizenship for Helots, no immigration—and it ultimately withered away. History has lessons. In the end, they died out like the Shakers. They refused to change. www.msn.com/en-us/news/w...

Trump has certainly not shown himself to be a Republican. Hands off free enterprise? Instead, he is a socialist, probably a National Socialist. The government has now taken $10 billion in ownership stakes in private companies. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/25/u...

ICE is now raiding churches. In ancient times, even the fiercest armies respected the sanctity of a sanctuary — a place that could not be violated. Not so with the hoodlums now running our streets. Masked, armed, and operating without restraint.

Why are we giving Argentina $40 billion? Actually, Rob Citrone and his Hedge fund bought a huge amount of Argentine debt, very cheaply, in the hope that the libertarian Javier Milei's government would improve things, but it did not. Scott Besent is a friend of Citrone.

Rob Citrone, whose hedge fund bet big on Argentina, reportedly asked his friend for a rescue package. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent delivered.

Air Traffic Controllers are now working as Uber drivers, Christmas light installers, and other bullshit jobs. Meanwhile, anybody flying now is taking a big risk. Working into the night and doing odd jobs, and then doing flight control work. Disaster ahead.

Trump claims to be looking out for everyone. What did his supporters get? Gilded ballrooms, Great Gatsby parties with sexy women in large glasses, caviar and champagne, free jets and billionaires groveling at his feet while giving him more money. Meanwhile, air traffic control, SNAP, ACA are gutted.

Having worked in defense for 16 years I know how things that should be cheap become very expensive for no reason. I remember the GBU-15 glide bomb test set. Instead of a simple $10K design we had to create this very expensive, large system with bubble memory. It had to work -55 to +125 degrees C.

Today I am in Vienna Austria at the tomb of the Habsburg Imperial family. Besides the tombs of famous emperor's since the 1600s we see a great many tiny sarcophagus as many of children of the emperor's were felled by smallpox and other diseases. We have forgotten all about it.
