Not that they care about the law but isn't there a law preventing unauthorized people near voting sites? I can't imagine that ICE is authorized, they have no duties related to voting.

What she and her good buddy DJT don't seem to understand that the DOW whatever value it reaches and however it increases people's 401k accounts, it's ephemeral. Tomorrow it could be at 20k, which would ruin many people.

True humans are groupies. Of course people will coalesce on ideas. My argument is that people that agree on ideas don't have to be a named entity. People in agreement on an idea may be the same people that agree or disagree on other ideas and be temporary members of many groups.

It's time to become more suspicious of political motives, time to stop supposing people will be moral. The pardon power of the president should only be to suggest people for pardons with the decision left to Congress. Sad that this is where we have arrived.

Imagine one of those small cylinders, like used for CO2 powered pellet guns, filled with propane and sticking out of your cell phone. No more lack of charging facilities, no more overloading the grid with chargers, just a pocketful of explosive devices. Airplane mode obsolete as they are banned.

You're right but any more layers of government will likely suffer from the same malevolant forces. Voting for justices may not work either. Voters put Trump in office, after all.

Let's stop being afraid of telling the truth. We don't actually have a responsibility for people in other countries, no matter their status. Like Britain has done the Andrew, countries can decide what to do with their own sexual predators.

Her position that it was okay to hire a Jan 6 perpetrator because Trump pardoned him tells the story. Slate wiped clean, right? As an attorney she should know better. A pardon does not delete your conviction. You are still a convicted criminal.

If you are talking about connecting to the internet, you are talking about connecting your local network (your router). It would be possible to host a local time server (NTP) on your private network without relying on the internet.

The Republican party, motivated by their oligarchs, saw Trump as their long awaited vehicle, their messiah, to finally achieve their long awaited goals. Sick and tired of laws, regulations, rules, and norms of getting in the way. They found the guy that has no morals to do their bidding.

Our experience has proved that the pursuit of wealth causes individuals and corporations to put in blinders when considering the harm their products and activities cause. Those that decry regulation are simply telling you that they don't care about you or the planet.

No, a party, as it turns out, is an entity that tells people how they should think and what they should say. Enough of people in Congress just regretting their votes because they were following the party line. It obviously is not working.

This is what the two party system gets you, the choice of the least bad. Having more parties is also not the answer. No parties is what we should aspire to. When candidates stand on their own, they and only they are responsible for their ideas.
