It was a separate case to SA's application. It was an advisory opinion (not a trial) in which Israel took no part. Not all the judges agreed that it was appropriate!

Of course Israel has a continued obligation to attempt to restrict civilian casualties within the hospital, but those that occur are deemed acceptable collateral damage under IHL. In fact, US Department of Defence holds Hamas responsible:

I shared a screenshot of GC4 Article 19, which clearly states that hospitals lose their protected status if "they are used to commit, outside their humanitarian duties, acts harmful to the enemy." Here it is again, and also Article 13 from Additional Protocol 1 for "Civilian Medical Units"

5. So what? If they wipe Hamas off the face of the earth, they'll be doing the world a service, and it'll be a clear deterrent to others, thus ensuring the future safety of Israeli citizens. He's now warned other terror organisations: Don't attack Israel.
