For when Twitter inevitably collapses
and hopefully Luiz and Zinchenko aren’t far behind them.

Aina will be like a new signing in January, and the return of Cuiabano gives them a decision to make over Zinchenko ahead of a January window that you’d think will be quiet unless the situation dictates further additions.

Two wins, two draws and a defeat to start the Dyche era is a good return, but the most important thing is a club that feels more united and ready to attack the rest of the season.

Leeds weren’t great so we shouldn’t get too excited but the foundations are there, and you can see them working towards a place where their base level should put them in a position to be competitive in every game…

Dyche got his substitutions exactly right and Forest took the initiative and got themselves ahead, Hutchinson made the difference and showed his defensive qualities as well as the game went on…

It wasn’t a high quality game but the best team won it, we saw with Villa last year how difficult these games after European fixtures can be, and these are the games you just need to battle through and not worry too much about how it looks…

take those chances we’ve missed recently and cut out individual errors defensively and we have enough even with some injuries to get the job done.

It doesn’t need to be pretty.

It drags us back in touch with the teams ahead of us and sends the club into the international break in a positive space with the time that Dyche needs to work with the players.

Leeds will be their usual robust and combative selves but the key today is for Forest to not beat themselves…

These squad players need to prove they can play a role this season and this is a great opportunity against the Austrian champions for them to stake a claim.

Get any eligible full backs, wingers and a striker from the U21s to stock the bench, and try and give the likes of Anderson and Murillo a rest while not risking Luiz and taking off Savona, Williams, Milenkovic and Ndoye if we can later in the game…

Sels

Savona, Milenkovic, Morato, Williams

Yates, Sangare, Dominguez

McAtee, Kalimuendo, Ndoye

I’d make some changes for Graz with Sangare, Dominguez, McAtee and Kalimuendo getting starts, maybe even swap Morato in for Murillo to protect him ahead of the weekend. I’m not sure we can take a chance on John Victor yet and it might help Sels to play himself back into form…

the set piece issues continue but it would really help if we didn’t have to defend extra corners that should have been goal kicks.

We’re steadily building, and will get better if we continue to do the right things.

with there needing to be some prioritisation on the Premier League, initially at least, to correct the league form.

If we can improve to be around the mid table positions by Christmas then we can really attack the second half of the season, it’s a tough ask, but this is a talented squad, a capable manager, and if the fans do their part as well we know how much of a difference it can make.
