I get the funny feeling I've been here before. Not exactly déjà vu, more like dévà ju.

lovely bastard. extroverted introvert. social hermit. surfer hippie dude. electronically reprocessed for stereo. less is more, more or less.
Someone left their glasses behind in the boarding area. Finders keepers, right?

One Foot in the Grave. I've got the CD single (remember those?) with half a dozen remixes!

I didn't have time for much of a run today, but I did step out for a quick mile.

Most of it in the lake, according to my GPS.

Although to be fair, it might not have been the fake flamingos. I then saw its pal partaking of stork snacks from a dish on the doorstep.

I had to slow down and stop to let the Sandhill crane cross the street. It was headed straight for the house with the pink flamingo lawn ornaments.

I do lie awake at night sometimes wondering what ever became of X the Owl. Has he ceased to be? Expired and gone to meet his maker? A stiff? Bereft of life? Off the twig!? Run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible? Is X the Owl an EX-OWL?!!

Wait, what? Mr. Rogers visited Sesame Street? I kinda grew up on Sesame Street. And watched Mr. Rogers. Yeah, the Neighborhood of Make Believe was kinda weird, but it also had an undercurrent with the very scary Lady Elaine and the rarely visited platypuses down the line.

Amongst those "also not appearing on this record", as listed in the liner notes, is Eric Idle.

I meet with my old airline pal Eric every Thursday. Today marked the 24th anniversary of 9/11 and I forgot to even mention it! This photo was taken from the flight deck, pre-cellphone days, with Eric's disposable camera that he just happened to be carrying.

I've just finished reading @jimpiddock.bsky.social's delightful book Caught With My Pants Down. What a great "must-read" this is! Thoroughly enjoyed, and personally inspired in some small way. We all have stories to tell. Not that anyone cares about mine.

Anyway, foreplay by @ericidle.bsky.social!

Keep scrolling. Nothing to see here. Just George Harrison and @ericidle.bsky.social frolicking in flippers on a beach.

Oh, this sadly reminds me of an old tweet of mine. Only one like, but at least it was by Garry Shandling.

Our microwave at work doesn't work so well. I put soup in, hit the popcorn button, but it still came out soup.

#NowPlaying: Fragments - Time Out of Mind Sessions (1996-1997): The Bootleg Series, Vol. 17

My favorite installment of Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series. Time Out of Mind, itself, was one of those records that came along at the right time and resonated with me on a personal or emotional level. Still does.

Elijah, age 14, flew unescorted by legal guardian. You might say Elijah was an Unaccompanied Miner.

My dear friend Bill Sumner passed away. I've known Bill for 30-some years. He lived above the bar where I work. I stopped by today, looked up at the apartment where he lived and saw this little fella looking down at me!

"Ohh nooo!" is right.

I'm really going to miss Bill.

French Breakfast radishes, freshly plucked from my garden today. Why are they called French Breakfast? Do the French eat radishes for breakfast?

I've made this stupid comparison before. Two of Madison's local legends #FrankLloydWright and #GeorgiaO'Keeffe. Both kinda look alike. Both ended up with homes in the desert. One Arizona, the other New Mexico. Both wore hats. But Frank Lloyd comes across a bit arrogant, Georgia more down to earth.

Historic Madison, Wisconsin. 928 and 912 Spaight Street. Georgia O'Keeffe's maternal grandmother lived at 928 (Now Renting), Georgia O'Keeffe, herself, lived briefly with her aunt at 912. #GeorgiaO'Keeffe
