The new Cameron Crowe memoir is a great read. I'm also reading the Beastie Boys book right now. What's impressed me the most with the latter is how it's a treasure trove of historic information of that New York zeitgeist if the late 70s/early 80s. Certainly a different kind of history.

I watched this back in college at the invitation of my World Literature professor, which was cool. I like that Huston was completely unbothered by the fact that he was dying as he directed this. Tony Huston did a wonderful job adapting the story to script.

Your kitty looks just like the twins we adopted last year. Is she a Bombay cat?

While I don't teach art, I like to show these two drawings side-by-side that my daughter did at 4-5-years-old and 20-years-old. I only exposed her to art. She did the rest. I think the gift is the vision, focus, and persistence to become great at something.

You know how I feel about Scheider. Highly underrated in a decade with Steve McQueen, Robert Redford, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro at the forefront. All of them were great actors, but he always felt a bit more natural or authentic to me.

I have a six-year-old grandson, and he's an absolute blast. We have a lot of fun, and he has a wonderful imagination. You'd make a great Pops Zircher.

Those are some tough choices. C or D if health is a factor with D being my first choice.

This reminds me of La Rochelle in France with the brick structure and color. You definitely got those old world vibes into this.

Great film and great score. I'm a huge fan of William Friedkin and Roy Scheider. Tangerine Dream was on a different wavelength and still are.
