You may already be doing this, but I have had great success with a 4-6 hour Alum (pickling agent) bath for incoming plants. Then rinsing and soaking in regular water for another 24 hours or so. Very very few pest snails (if any) and no other inverts have made it in!

Great looking scape and tank! I love my UNS too. I am in month 3 of my tank and I’ve been battling diatom hair for a while. My water has a lot of silicate so I’m not sure if I’m going to win it, really keeping my plants from their best. I’m considering Otos to help out, I love those little weirdos!!

Gotta love food names. We have a tuxedo boy named “Trader Joe joes sandwich cookie” (or JoJo for short) and his flame point sister “Cheesecake” ❤️❤️
