I guess "incentivize" would be the proper word.

I think your explanation makes the most sense. I regularly read headlines about Trump meeting with network and tech executives; and assume he is doing something to force them (or tempt them?) to come on board.

Still working on catching up - that discussion is akin to reading multiple doctoral theses. 🖖

Star Wars Acolyte: Gone. Star Trek Discovery: Gone. I firmly believe this is mandated policy from the current administration.

Very cool to see the goddess Yuda show up, too. About time, and I'm glad to know she has holidays! 🌙💖

Whereas the 1970s/80s Bridwell was hand lettered; DC is now using Darren Doyle's digital font version of it, also at kryptonian.info

That's the most popular. It was used in Smallville and every DC comic from 2000 to 2022. On Darren's site, he names it "Brewer" after the creator of the font. Since Mark Waid came on at DC, DC has reverted to the pre-crisis Bridwell font in the mainline books, but sticks to Brewer in Absolute.

Darren Doyle says he is working to revamp/update the site to add a series of lessons; and he also plans to add info on the new conlang from the latest movie.

Yes! Also want to mention it was spoken in Supergirl; Superman & Lois; and Krypton. The general site is at kryptonian.info - I found "finish" in the dictionary at kryptonian.info/doyle/dictio...
Welcome

This isn't the usual transliteration font, but is written in "Doyle Kryptonian"; a full-on constructed Kryptonese language; it was also used in Supergirl and some of the other TV shows. This translates as "Finish":

When I first read Woman of Tomorrow, I liked it and thought it was very powerful. Then I learned it was an intentional rewrite of True Grit; and found King's Helen of Wyndhorn and Wonder Woman to be equally ultra-violent in their approach. So it's not cleverness, it's what he likes.

It's jarring to see the movie Zod and Jor-El heads on comic book costumed bodies. That, along with the Zor-El mix-up, just makes the whole thing really surreal - like it's all from an alternate dimension. Maybe whoever was lettering it did Zod first, then assumed all Kryptonian names begin with "Z".
