Looking back, the most surprising and impressive thing about Sonic X Shadow Generations is how remarkably polished it is. At least by Sonic standards.

If there’s one thing that I’ve learned about the fans of each of these 4 Japanese franchises, it’s that they’re not necessarily fans of the gameplay first and foremost.
They’re almost always about the story and characters, and that’s what people love to post about online. Hardly ever the gameplay.
