It also proposes prohibiting what it now terms "significant decisions" based solely on automated processing where data processing is based on entirely or partly on legitimate interests. So in terms of protection it gives with one hand and takes away with the other.

In a potentially significant departure from the GDPR, the UK's proposed Data (Use und Access) Bill foresees that restrictions on automated decision-making only where special categories of personal data are processed (see Art. 22B (1)).

It can be really useful for keeping up with IT law and data protection developments and some colleagues use it really productively and helpfully. But my timeline is interspersed with random posts which are either personal / political or sound like some sort of terrible life coach rubbish
