Greetings- just joined. Feeling very burned by social media, I have no idea how much or if I will post. But here goes. I was a journalist for 25 years (editor-in-chief of Reuters), a China-studier all my adult life (Taipei, Beijing, Hong Kong) and now live in London. At home everywhere and nowhere.

I can’t & won’t tell anyone what to do, but I’ll gently suggest if you’re already feverishly tracking everything this incoming administration does & says & every piece of lobotomized court intrigue you’ll lose your mind right about when you need it most. Go paint some model figurines or something.
