If you want to use Evie's chargers I suggest holding the weight of the power cable while the charger is negotiating with the vehicle.
Evie has been a pain to use, often more expensive than Tesla Superchargers and not very reliable.

To be fair the QUT chargers have been free and likely have no billing system built in.
It's not surprising if they are not maintained as well as Tesla Superchargers charging $0.71 per kWh.

Tesla V4 chargers have thicker cables than V3.
Water cooled V3 charging cables are impossibly slim and light but I've seen a lot of kinking on them.
V4 seem likely a good balance between weight and durability
