Not a ton blooming in September, but most of the plants are pretty young. Here are some standouts after a warm rain event last night #californianativeplants #bloomscrolling

Good times learning that Anthropic scraped all five of my published works for their AI database. Five years of hard work sucked into their stupid ass AI. Fuck AI now and for always. #fuckai

The unassuming Orcutt’s hazardia. Only one population in the United States (Encinitas, CA). An unassuming plant that blooms in late summer. I’m happy to have one in my garden. #californianativeplants

Milkweed gains. Sowed in late June, most plants are now about 5-6” talks. I’ve pinched some of the Narrowleaf, and soon the Kotolo will be ready for a good pinching. The other pots have showy milkweed that’s already stratified for a month. Sowed two days ago. #californianativeplants

As a first year gardener, my seed starting game has been a work in progress. Lots of failures, but still some successes (so far). Here’s a mix of kotolo and Narrowleaf milkweed beneath a mesh shelter to keep the ‘pillars out. #californianativeplants
