You stand before the gate, its metal bars blocking your way to the dilapidated manor house you just climbed up a staircase cut into a cliff to get to. Far below the sounds of the waves is the only noise you can hear, the smell of the salt on the air stings your nose.

While chilling in the Gold Saucer doing some Gates to get mogtomes today I have been reading the Battletech Universe book and it has been a nice easy read. Perfect as the primer for the setting as intended.
Pity about the spelling mistakes and grammar issues that pop up from time to time though.

Every time I listen to a Dan Abnett 40K novel I remember why fell in love with the game and setting. Other Black Library authors are good, but hot damn does it feel like Dan writes to my tastes exactly.

I just posted my 2020 playthrough of the Japanese version of Police Quest II on YouTube. If you haven’t seen this one before, it’s pretty wild. For the Japanese release, they redrew all the sprites to give the characters an anime-inspired vibe. It's wonderful.

Even replaying LeCuck's Revenge in the Monkeyathon streams I am doing hasn't made me like it anymore. It really feels a bit bloated, not as tightly designed as I expect from a Lucas Arts adventure. It is not terrible for sure but compare to Secret and Curse it just doesn't hold up.
