I’m not a fan of Elon. I wish a guy with that much money and a handful of society-changing good ideas wasn’t also an evil Bond villain.

Btw…

- Annual U.S. campfires: ~1,600,000 metric tons CO2
- 25 Starship operations: ~82,500 metric tons CO2

Look at an estimate of the CO2 emitted by campfires just in the U.S. annually and then compare that to the estimate of CO2 emitted by the largest launch cadence of Starship (currently authorized for up to 25 annually). The technological advances made economically feasible by Starship are worth it.

My spouse and I cut them cold turkey, and I have the Target Circle Card statements to prove it. They need look no further for root cause than having abandoned their values, or more to the point, the values of their customers. We don’t need two Walmarts.

It’s already “criminal” to be a non-citizen student and express a political belief contrary to this admin. Sentence: revoked student visa and deportation. Now they suggest US citizen convicts should go to El Salvador’s prison. How soon before US citizens with contrary views are also “criminals?” 👋1A

The sentiment might feel fitting, and the consequences just. I suspect, though, that Pope Francis would offer engagement, reconciliation and absolution instead of permanent separation. Isn’t that more consistent with his message?

Never mind sensationalist headlines, and reporting that fails to do journalism. This is a very approachable article that explains why many people, other scientists in the field especially, are skeptical of these claims. Interesting findings. Entirely inconclusive.

My father-in-law talked to someone who voted for Trump but was at #HandsOff because “this is not what I voted for.” Curious if he still gets the check from Soros.

I get cursive, but why geography? I think a lot of social problems or problematic proposed solutions to them are rooted in geography. Traffic congestion and road repair cost, for example. Many of the things that necessitate your 2 priorities need geography in order to be understood.

That thread is full of this sentiment. This is your reminder that we celebrate when people make good decisions, punish when people make bad decisions. We don't punish people for making a good decision just because they previously made a bad one. That's dumb.
