Interesting! I've been to my elections office and saw through the windows how many volunteers are involved with the validation, sorting, counting, etc., process. Each takes their job very seriously and I love getting notification that my ballot has been accepted.

Unfortunately, like many folks as they get older, they get stuck in the 'good ol' days' and don't comprehend what life is really like now. I've quasi-severed relationships because those ancient beliefs are infuriating/exhausting and my sanity can only handle so much.

The last thing (kind people) want for these generous businesses is for them to become a target simply because they tried to help. I imagine they're still helping but in a more generic way so they can't be accused of showing favoritism toward SNAP recipients.
