The last of our Thanksgiving leftovers for breakfast this morning. Butter toasted sourdough, havarti cheese, wilted arugula, sauteed chanterelle mushrooms, smoked brisket, fried egg and chili oil.

Sushi I made a few weeks ago. Jalapeño garlic ponzu salmon, tuna poke salad, spicy tuna and sesame seared tuna salad with orange supremes and a slightly sweet Thai chili sesame sauce.

Round 2 of mooncake madness. 5 nuts and salted egg with lotus paste. Used a different ratio of AP to cake flour which made for a sturdier dough, all cake flour is more delicate and requires more per recipe than AP but I need to master the 70/30 ratio of filling to wrapping for a better bite or chew.

I had a chance to watch Shohei Ohtani warming up in the bullpen before the game started. I don't have footage of it but he tossed a ball to a kid and said kid had a smile a mile wide. Super sweet to see.

I found some gorgeous hibiscus flowers at The Grand Central Market and pureed some leftover cherries in the fridge. Perfect for a Flor de Jamaica y Cereza agua fresca. So refreshing on this muggy day.

Pistachio, chocolate pop tarts filled with pistachio cream, chopped pistachios and chocolate chips. Coated in a pistachio confectioners sugar glaze. Delicious if I do say so myself.
