Gamifying voting for a lynching is pretty disgusting. I find the whole thing pretty abhorrent. Made worse yet by the fact that they are all now free without records.

My thoughts on the article.
Holding those accountable for assaulting the White House and injuring law enforcement is in no way demonizing them. Those people were all Criminals and unfortunately Fox News and the Cheeto have created the lie that they were all “demonized”.

We spray painted them with orange paint once they had been cataloged. I think it helped prevent people from trying to take them for parts.

I have seen those washed up when I used to work on the beaches with turtles in NC. They are pretty small.

I find this offensive. It’s like playing Sept 11th hijacker’s where your given a bunch of planes and some dice and maps. January 6th was an affront to our democracy. Gamifying it trivializes the actions that those “patriots” took that day. I would never take part. 👎👎

Occasional levity is fine but he created a PC who wore a rubber overcoat and carried a harpoon around everywhere in a modern city based game. His first act was to throw away their first clue and fight a npc coo. I won’t game with him again.

I run a lot of one shots or two shots. You might try running a one shot with your former friend group. It’s low commitment and might bridge the gap.

As a long time GM. I usually get lots of respect from my group but I have had players who seem to think that doing the craziest most illogical things ever are just grand. They ignore theme, and play loonie toons in our carefully constructed noir horror game. That’s the only disrespect I’ve seen.

My job is on the line too. Took me 13 years to get a TERM (read, not even permanent ) position with the feds. I have a Masters cert. I’m sorry you lost your job! I wish we could do more.
