The way the world is going is weighing so heavily on me at the moment. The country is careening out of control and there seems to be nobody at the wheel except selfish idiots with even worse people trying to grab control to make themselves rich at everyone else's expense. I need a break from bsky.

There's a game I recently played where the difficulty curve was insane.. the developer had little interjections about how he designed it to be irritating, and how the only way to win was just suck it up and waste your time. He's got a new game and I simply don't trust him not to waste my time again

Darkenstein 3-D is pretty darn good.... For a free game, it's superb. So much Wolf3d fun with 66% more 3D!

Aargh, someone suddenly decided to reverse into a space I was trying to pull into and scraped the hell out of my car... It's only superficial damage but AAAAARGHHHH. Insurance company is like "we'll write it off".. gah, dude, I don't have the cash to buy a new car, even with the 57p you'll give me

I fancied porting a bit of old x86 ASM to z80 to get a rudimentary 'starfield' going.
Went looking for a nice easy IDE and found one called KliveIDE by the same guy that made SpectNetIDE. Nice and easy to work with! It's still in early alpha, but it's good .

Pay VERY close attention to the sender's address when you get what appears to be a legitimate password management request. In this instance the sender is not "Microsoft", but R N icrosoft, the R & N close together look like a lowercase 'm' at first glance.

There's something about this table top strategy game that's really drawing me in.. for some reason I really want to play it.... I think it's possibly because the box looks like a PC game. But the contents look great too...
The weird thing is I'm not a ttrpg player really, only D&D.

Hilariously, the devs of Lutris have locked the threads that would let anyone tell them that there's a problem unless they're a "contributor"... So, trying to run the EA App is still broken... I have found a hacky workaround though, so I'll document in this thread in case anyone cares:

Now, we can debate the validity of comparing importance and effectiveness directly in percentages... And we can debate that their BBC avoided the elephant in the room that it is massively biased.
But it's clear that people in the UK are dissatisfied with how independent and neutral the BBC is.
