I feel like I've barely been writing for the last month, I've been so busy. Now I'm back into the groove again.

Hardest: Scenes where the progression of the story/plot occurs primarily in the dialogue, verbal fights.

Easiest: gonzo fantasy moments, like Mila getting swept up into a tide of photos or Aisha fleeing a collapsing spell.
What scenes are the hardest and easiest for you to write?

Hardest for me: Drawn out battle scenes. Takes me forever to write because I'm trying to keep the action going.

Easiest: Dialogue. I trained on Gilmore Girls, Tolkien and Buffy lmao. Dialogue is my jam.

A question for readers and fellow writers: how would you describe my prose?

I was thinking about it before. I feel like I have very "functional" prose. I don't generally lean towards poetic in tone, but I do have elements of stream-of-consciousness and a narrative voice, even in third-person.

I wonder when we will reach the skeuomorphic point, or have reached the point, where the standard phone icon is no longer understood as representing a phone, but is just an icon. "A phone is a rectangle, not a banana with weird growths on the ends."

Chinua Achebe's "Things Fall Apart". Read this for school, and I found the final chapter of it one of the most emotionally devastating gut-blows in literature. As a writer myself, I've found myself trying to emulate Achebe's skill on this.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"
