If I believed a two-paragraph, nothing-burger of an "idea" (written down solely to boost the value of a company before selling it) was worth more than hundreds of pages of narrative resulting from dozens of collaborators, I'm really not sure why I would ever reply to anyone's post about Star Wars.

That is not how I interpret the marketing copy. They only solicit a certain number of issues into the future each month. I suspect it would be a much bigger announcement if a title announced as "ongoing" was cancelled.
