If your teens are looking for an activity/sport to find community I highly recommend Ultimate Frisbee. Welcoming to newbies (I know this might vary), not $$$, not all-consuming like many HS sports, self-refereed, great community spirit. My non-sporty gamer-loving son absolutely loves it.

This week I learned that disc golf and ultimate frisbee are not the same thing. I'm not sure why I thought that they were except, like, how many frisbee sports can there really be.
