Author of THE CATAPHRACT OATH, a swashbuckling clockpunk mecha adventure!

Ask me about giant robot cartoons or obscure TTRPGs or kung fu movies or food history or sci fi/fantasy novels and I will talk your ear off.

He/Him

Arguably the best Marc.

Call me a luddite, but I think having computers make up "news" to fit your bullshit narrative is bad.

I have no idea where this is originally from or if my friend made it but they sent it to me once; and I love it

Isn't this the briefcase everyone wanted in Pulp Fiction?

Or heck, if you even got clever about it, all you'd have to do is say "We were just planning our next D&D session." BOOM. Ironclad defense! Or at least enough for shadow-of-a-doubty reasons.

But this is just me being the kind of nerd who overthinks things.

I kept on thinking "wait, what jury would even believe this?" It'd be like trying to prosecute you for sending UFO's to steal your neighbor's wifi.

The judge would laugh you out of court, and any halfway decent defense attorney would get you out of jail in no time.

Knowing the average bunch of player characters, excessive property damage is something they wouldn't even blink at (if not aim for).

Now, getting innocent (or at least uninvolved) mortals caught up in the grand scheme? That's something that may give them pause. (Or not, since vampires).

Also Mishima is a lameass incel so I never want anything to do with him on my playthroughs. (All, uh, two of them at this point).

Then again I also skip the whole "Hot for Teacher" side-story, to boot. But I have a low tolerance for anime grabass bullshit.

Yeah, the whole "Let's set up a Phantom Thieves fansite!" bit in P5 is odd. Like, I get wanting to be an inspiration (and also the metaverse probably runs of collective zeitgeist), but still.

If you can do crime on the astral plane, and don't tell anyone about it, YOU WON'T GET CAUGHT.

I mean, there's a few of those.

Though honestly that niche these days is more filled by "random RPG nerd gets stuck in fantasyland but he's got broken stats for Because Reasons and now all the elf girls love him."

Oh, the worst? There's Tom Kratman, who's written bangers like "Straight Up Brown Peril" or "We have to revive dead SS officers to fight the space aliens."

Larry Correia is also pretty terrible too, but his work's mostly gun-fetish libertarianism.

I have a lot of fun with the Persona games, but those kids are -really- bad at OpSec.

I heard Tubi once described as "What if the Criterion Collection was in a gas station," so ... legit.

But yeah, physical media is becoming more & more relevant nowadays.

You might also see if you can pick up a prior-gen console for cheap, as those have built-in blu-ray support.
