Mental health counselor, pastor (but not that kind), sometime musician wishing I was fishing instead. Still trying to figure out what just happened.

I’ve been a Mariners fan too long. I refuse to have hope.

I visited Portland 4 times last summer and found it quite lovely. Yes, a few ragged homeless camps and one poor soul in a psychotic break yelling at a tree, but certainly not a war zone.

New NFL season and some things are the same as ever, like the #Seahawks’ inability to make a screen pass succeed.

I am so tired of living in the dumb timeline
This is absolutely incredible -- Kristi Noem repeatedly refuses to acknowledge that Trump brandished an doctored image of Abrego Garcia's tattoos, prompting Eric Swalwell to have a staffer of his brandish an image of them right in her face.

Totally dystopian.

We are officially a banana republic
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., has been confirmed as the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Last month, @/ClareMalone wrote about the threat that Kennedy, a skeptic of medical research, poses to public health.

With everything falling apart in the world, you’d think they could at least give us a Super Bowl worth watching. Chiefs-Eagles? Yuck.

President Kamala Harris would have had such a nice ring to it.

My 1st sports memory is the excited shouts coming from our living room in the final moments of the 1979 Sonics’ championship. My father was mostly a quiet man, but I witnessed a game reducing him to happy tears. Thanks, Gus, for helping me connect with dad.

One musical highlight of my life is seeing Peter, Paul, and Mary at the Hollywood Bowl, surrounded by friends singing along to all our favorites. So many good songs, and such a force for good in the world. Where have all the flowers gone?

I despise the Oregon Zeros but I have some friends down there so I guess I can be happy for them, and take some pleasure in the fact a newbie former Pac team won the Big 10 right out of the gate.

Song of the Season - Key Peninsula News
Today the Christmas story reads less like a children’s bedtime tale and more like a protest anthem
