Messy brained medicated ASD he/him, older outside than in. Trying to be a good person amid a world of chaos, occasionally succeeding, normally surviving.

Avatar is line drawing, formal shirt and neck with scribbles in place of a head
Need to put words down so they are out of my head. Using poetry to try and distill both sadness and anger.
Basically screaming into the void tbh.

An amazing time at the Felixstowe Book Festival, aseeing @robinince.bsky.social talk about Normally Weird Weirdly Normal, speaking briefly about fairness and justice sensitivity before hand, and getting my book signed. Feeling a bit full of emotion hearing and thinking on neurodivergence but happy

Unrelated, but worth mentioning. This is divine

Excited for June 29th, and seeing @robinince.bsky.social at the Felixstowe book festival with his Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal: My Adventures in Neurodiversity book. Seen so many good comments and posts about events so far. Only 7 weeks to go

I know you like a rambling intro, but my podcast player is showing what is (a) Likely true (b) Hillarious. Either you have intentionally done this, in which case, I bow to your comedy skills, or my app has listened to your podcasts before 🙃. Brilliant either way, and looking forward to listening

I'll ever be ready for another. Im not an emotional person but Missy opened part of my heart I never knew. Thanks for posting and bringing this up. Its important to be able to talk about loss, and I never say how much I miss her

To quote the seminal title track from the Beastie Boys 2004 masterpiece ..... "Check it out". Great zine by great people, from @microwrites.bsky.social and not funding any of the crazy space chasers.

Amazingly proud of son and his class. They studied a book 'A kind of spark' about witch trials, and asked the coubcil for a plaque, for local victims and to be a symbol for their beliefs for an inclusive world. Perfect words, and my new memorial for peace and humanity. This is what the world needs!

An eclipse is amazing to experience. No success in capturing via camera except one experiment through plastic glasses in the run up. Also had eclipse cookies and sat on a swing in eery near darkness for a few mins afterwards too. One for the memories!

More pleasant and calm than the winds of Arkansas Tuesday (lets just say I was on the map but not in the paths, and it was loud)

Last week the work wellness team started inspirational quotes on Mondays. I would prefer it if they put the effort into tangible help, e.g., maybe mental health tips or a breathing exercise. Because it has annoyed me so much I have started my own alternative Monday inspiration quotes. You're welcome

It's arrived! Bought a copy for a relative and amazed by the other authors stories! Amazing job by @microwrites.bsky.social on all the hard work, and all the contributors (featured bio of one such author @notmoro.bsky.social). Available to buy via the link, supporting independant writers old and new

Not New Years resolutions, just things to do, including: Work out why I've had a cough for +2 years (currently on various inhalers with no success). Coming to terms with own mortality (approaching 40, with an increase per year of 1 medication and 2 new issues). *sigh, then resigned determination*

Decorations now finished, eldest back from Uni, and finally let the kids unwrap the early present - a felt goose decoration, in honor of our Jackapoo Missy, who passed away in January, and for whom we bought a goose every year. Rest in festive peace our friend
