Cpt Arnold Fraser-Campbell MC, 8th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. One of three brothers from a wealthy Scots-American family from New York who served in the British Army during the FWW. Arnold was wounded three times and lost his arm in action.

On 24 September 1942, American sailors, survivors of Arctic Convoy QP 14, gather with their mascot, Lassie, at Scapa Flow, Scotland, after returning from Arkhangelsk, Russia. Braving Arctic conditions and German U-boat attacks, the Allied convoys were crucial in supplying the Eastern Front.

Sgt. Allen Desailles Glover, a gunner with the 753BS, 458BG, completed six missions aboard the B-24 Liberator ‘Big-Time Operator’ (41-29288) before his forced retirement. After earning the Air Medal, Glover admitted to his crew that he was only 16 years old, having lied about his age to enlist.
