A springtime Winter❄️Weather Advisory is now in effect here in the mountains. This pic was taken on the same May date several years ago.

Whatever snow arrives tonight is unlikely 2 create a result this dramatic.

Summit Hospital Helipad yesterday in #SummitCounty #Colorado

🚁 #Helicopters are amazing vehicles w/life-changing service capabilities, as the crews of Flight for Life prove daily.

I confess that whirlybirds are a little scary🫣to me, but I greatly appreciate the people who fly and work in them.

Big floppy snowflakes pelted 100 parked boats at #LakeDillonMarina this week. In 3 weeks, the vessels will be returned to the water.

Even locals might be misled by this #Colorado #MountainBiking #NightView from last night.

With the iconic Buffalo Mountain/Red Peak vista & w/Wildernest lit below, many might presume that the icy Lake Dillon Reservoir is the foreground.

That is NOT Lake Dillon 😵‍💫
Does anyone know what the water is?

Found a tree with several tufts of Usnea Lichen while snowboarding 🏂 in a forest at #CopperMountain last weekend. A much-appreciated, late-season snowstorm drew me and Stormy🐯 out for what might have been our final snow riding day this season. A lower elevation mtn bike ride is planned for tonight.
A small tuft of Usnea Lichen can be seen on the branch of a tree in a forest with fresh powder snow. Looking uphill in the forest, a snowboarder's track, created before the rider stopped to turn back and photograph the lichen, is visible.

This video w/instruments being played was one of my 1st exposures to Mr. Sérgio's Ergon Guitars. The green Coimbra JR left a strong impression that lingers years later.

Inside labyrinth of 1 of my favorite tree runs @Copper Mountain last mo on a velvety powder ❄️ day. This season had ample mini-storms 2 keep local resorts covered for tourists, but not enough massive snow events to draw me & Stormy out as much as I would've liked. Chance 4 snow this wk🤞 #Snowboarding
After a heavy snowfall, soft and fresh powder snow covers the forest floor and the limbs of tightly clustered pine trees in mountainous terrain.

Cracked tail w/1st front flip yrs ago. Thought it was done for, but kept using w/tree runs many winters (changed to a longer board 4 flips -turns out swing weight concerns were unwarranted) Sadly, this season, the deepening crack finally made this short board unacceptable riding switch (backwards) 😢

While preparing for a reach 4 proficiency w/acoustic guitar, I "accidentally" acquired this made in 🇯🇵 Gretsch G6659 semi-hollow electric.

Takamine LTD2011 Iki 6-string guitar with inlaid goldfish on soundboard and fretboard, though the fretboard is not visible clearly from this angle.
