I saw that in our news as well. Interesting that you can wear Swastikas but can't mow your lawn on Sunday. Switzerland has no backbone.

I've been in a similar situation and was attacked by someone who saw ambiguity in something I wrote about an alpine achievement. Life's grey areas don't always translate well to those who want black & white.

Krakauer was spot on when he said that the amount of time to refute bullshit is disproportionate to the time it takes to spew bullshit. This situation can happen to any of us in the media at anytime if someone with a ton of time to waste is motivated.

Never have I been happier to not live there. But, here we go again, the daily shit show is coming for all of us no matter where we live.

The cat did recently escape and I gave chase in ski boots. Hopefully that never happens again.

I saw that when you got back, I was there at the same time living in my van in Bishop trying to climb. Back in Switzerland now watching it be very very grey.
