Today would have been my grandparent’s 59th Anniversary…My great-grandmother made my grandmother’s wedding dress and even made the 3 tiered cake! They went to Expo 67 in the new year. My grandfather loved her until the very end and I know he misses her as we all do…❤️🥲 #Anniversary #Grandparents

Today was AMAZING…Paula Deen took her love of cooking and made it a career. She escaped a marriage to an alcoholic and took $200 and started a catering business which morphed into a restaurant and then fame called. “Thank you so much darlin’” After I got a chance to talk with her today. #TIFF50

After an amazing trip to The Canadian Automotive Museum in Oshawa, I came home with some cool brochures and photos from dealerships. I absolutely LOVE this 1958 Pontiac Parisienne, nothing like the big land yachts that I saw when I was a kid - this one is gorgeous! #ClassicCars #PontiacParisienne

When I was a kid watching reruns of The French Chef and being inspired by a culinary master, I was in the golden era of @pbs.org She once said “If you’re not going to be ready to fail, you’re not going to learn to cook.” I later went to culinary school and wrote a thesis on her. Thank you #PBS

My Great-Uncle passed away from AIDS when I was six…He did the exact same thing as me, left PEI and came to the big city. Because of him, I am a constant advocate for the Queer community and I always am right there when it comes to HIV/AIDS causes. His legacy lives on. #AIDSVigil #Toronto
