I can say that there won't be an "International Somerset Football", no promises but I'll try to restrain myself.

It also means less Surrey and London football and more South West and Welsh games next season

To be fair I think only Mexico would have enough venues to host the Gold Cup, even with a minimum of 10 Canada wouldn't have enough on its own, and then there tickets can be sold for more in the US than Mexico, only way CONCACAF makes money

The Nations League should really be a competition that Canada or Mexico could host in the future, spring time, single venue, both should be able to accommodate that but instead it's always played in the US

I think a 4-team long-weekend event is doable, they managed a 3-team men's asian cup a couple of years ago. Still not cheap but a fraction of the cost of the WFC, that's also usually because the continental organisers aren't the WFC organisers which seems to make at least some difference...

I'm curious enough to go to some games once there's any details, but considering the last Asian Cup was just 3 teams I'm not getting carried away that it'll be a major event.

Was looking at the AGM details and there were some interesting takeaways but it's still only behind closed doors in the end

Literally everything about it is crap, US planning to draw lines in Europe for an easy win and then refuse to enforce said lines while Russia is using the US to say "we're a superpower again, we'll only talk to the US", regrouping and then try to finish the job in 5 years
