It's also worth playing the Monkey Island sequel that was released as an episodic story by Telltale a decade or so ago. It's really faithful to the spirit of the originals and has some very funny puzzles.

Oh, you missed a treat. The LucasArts adventures were all great, and the Monkey Island series is an absolute joy. You should check out Day of the Tentacle too, if you haven't played it. A timeless classic. You can pick up most of them pretty cheaply on GoG

I can't believe how long I spent playing those Sierra adventures before Monkey Island came out. Turns out it's a lot less fricking annoying to play a game where you don't get twenty hours into it before realising you're screwed because you didn't pick up the hammer in the first scene

The thing that blew my mind when I learned it recently is that the piece isn't called 4'33"! That was just the title of the original performance. It can have other lengths, and be titled accordingly.
